LEANNE BALLATO

Leanne Ballato is an assistant solicitor dealing with Criminal and Family work. She undertakes advocacy in Criminal and Family courts. Leanne is an accredited police station representative and regularly attends police stations to advise and assist clients detained there.
 
Leanne has a wealth of experience working on large, high profile cases. Her organisational abilities are second to none and have been amply demonstrated in a number of cases where she assisted fee earners in terrorism, extradition and drugs cases.
 
She has worked on the following cases;
 
Regina v Ali and Others (2007/8) a case linked with the attempted 21st July 2005 bombings.
 
Regina v Tsouli and others (2007), ( aka the 'Irhaabi 007' case) ­ it was the first case of its kind dealing with allegations of cyber-terrorism.
 
Regina v Boudhiba (2006), an important extradition case
 
Regina v Kamel Bourgass and Others (otherwise known as the 'Ricin' case)(2005)
 
In relation to civil law, Leannešs training as a lawyer has incorporated civil litigation disputes, probate, matrimonial issues and conveyancing law all of which have enabled her to have a good foundation in such areas.
