On Sunday 4th December, 3000 people gathered in the beautiful Victoria Park to participate in Santa Run 2016.The festive event involved runners dressed in Santa outfits completing the 5k or 10k route at their preferred level; running, jogging or walking.
Amongst them were two members of Hayes Law who were running for Woman’s Trust, an organisation which supports women affected by domestic violence.
Dharshica Thanarajasingham, a Family & Divorce lawyer as well as Rosita Mendonca, Marketing Manager participated and helped raise £330. The money raised will help fund specialist workshops designed to help women with the practical and emotional effects of domestic violence.
The event began with a run for little legs, a 200m course for children under 8 – a great way to start the day! A Santa’s grotto & carol singing choir made the event even more festive. All runners also received medals and were cheered on as they ran through the finish line. The energy and enthusiasm in the park was truly incredible
